On the big screen.

Since 2018, Sangre Malo Film has been committed to screening its films in theaters and supporting independent cinema by organizing events that showcase the works of young filmmakers. We strongly believe in the shared experience of the big screen and the theater.

Intervalli Festival – Cinema is a festival curated by the members of Sangre Malo Film. Each year, the festival screens over 50 films between shorts and features on the big screen. The selection includes both Italian and international films, with a focus on genre cinema, short films shot on film, Veneto productions, and young directors.

We evaluate films from the following categories: feature films and short fiction films, with special sections dedicated to short films by directors under 23, films from the Veneto region, music or dance films, animated shorts, and microshorts of up to two minutes. The festival also offers a selection of VR shorts in collaboration with the River Film Festival.

Awards: Jury Prize and Audience Prize, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, Best Music, Best Genre Film and Special Mentions from the Jury for films deemed to be of particular interest.

Out of competition, we always program live soundtrack performances synchronized with the films, as well as screenings of international feature films not distributed in Italy and cinema classics.

The Festival takes place annually during the winter and consists of four to six days of screenings in a cinema in Padua that is set up for the occasion with an artistic exhibition that welcomes the audience to the cinema.
