LEARNING FILMMAKING HANDS-ON
Stanley Kubrick
Since September 2019, Sangre Malo Film has been training young people in film production. We strongly believe in a hands-on approach in which our students are exposed directly to the act of making a film, supported by budget and equipment.
We give students complete creative freedom to express their ideas through images. The courses create opportunities to meet people who share a passion for cinema and work together to produce short films without any thematic or narrative constraints.

An intensive workshop for young people under 26. The course involves the production of a short film by the students, who work as a crew guided by the workshop tutor.
Intensive Lab - 30hrs
Sangre Malo Film believes in a hands-on approach to everything related to filmmaking. From the very first day, you'll begin practicing with the camera and editing, aiming to produce a short film by the end of the course.
Summer offers fantastic light for filmmaking, the weather is perfect for working outdoors; everything is more cinematic. The course is designed as an experience to be lived because this is what filmmaking means to us: meeting people, getting involved, and giving shape to our ideas.
At the end of the course, students collaborate as a crew for the complete production of a short film.
The course takes place during the summer over the course of two weeks.

EDITING LAB
Workshop - 40hrs
Da Vinci Resolve is a professional editing program used and widespread throughout the global film industry. This course covers the basic and advanced aspects of the free version of the software.
Sangre Malo Film believes in a hands-on approach to everything related to film learning. From the very first lesson, you'll have the opportunity to edit film scenes, and by the end of the course, you'll have the opportunity to present your own project.
Any good editor must know how to edit and mix sound. Too often, sound is left until the end, when in fact it's an integral part of filmmaking and distinguishes an amateur from a professional product. With this course, you'll learn the fundamentals needed to work on film sound.
It doesn't matter if you're an actor, a costume designer, or a production designer: knowing how to edit will help anyone improve their filmmaking skills. This course will provide practical exercises that explain why knowing how to edit is so important and how the editor constructs a performance.
For information and registration
The course takes place throughout the year based on enrollment, both in an intensive form as a few-day workshop and in an extended form as weekly appointments.
